Cost of Attendance at Detroit Mercy
The Cost of Attendance (COA) is an estimate of the total cost of attending Detroit Mercy for one academic year. It includes both expenses billed by the University and other estimated expenses you may have while enrolled.
Cost of Attendance is not your bill.
Your Cost of Attendance includes estimated expenses that may not be charged by Detroit Mercy. Your actual student account balance is based on your University charges minus any financial aid applied to your account.
The Cost of Attendance is used to determine your eligibility for financial aid. It generally represents the maximum amount of financial aid you may receive, including scholarships, grants, loans and Federal Work-Study.
Direct costs are charges that may appear on your Detroit Mercy student account, such as tuition, required fees, and University housing and meal plans.
Indirect costs are estimated expenses that generally are not billed by Detroit Mercy, such as books and supplies, transportation, off-campus living expenses and personal expenses. These amounts are included to help account for the full cost of attending college, but you may spend more or less depending on your circumstances.
The estimates below generally cover the fall and winter semesters. Your individual Cost of Attendance may differ based on your program, enrollment, housing status and other circumstances.

Nursing Degree Completion
Â鶹APP in the Nursing Degree Completion Program are required to take 30 credits at Â鶹APP. The table below assumes full-time enrollment (12 credits) in the Fall & Winter terms and part-time enrollment (6 credits) in the summer term.

Estimating Graduate Cost of Attendance
Graduate Cost of Attendance varies because tuition is charged by the credit hour, tuition rates differ by program, and some programs require enrollment during the summer. Your official Cost of Attendance is calculated using your program, actual enrollment and applicable enrollment periods.
To estimate your Cost of Attendance, begin with the tuition and required fees for your program and add the applicable non-tuition expense allowance shown below.

Example: A graduate student whose fall and winter tuition and required fees total $25,000 and who lives on campus would have an estimated Cost of Attendance of $42,524:
$25,000 tuition and fees + $17,524 standard non-tuition allowance = $42,524 estimated Cost of Attendance
