Biography

Dan Eddie joined the faculty at University of Detroit Mercy School of Architecture & Community Development in the fall of 2026. He previously taught undergraduate and graduate students at Iowa State University, leading courses in advanced parametric digital modeling and full-scale design-build leveraging digital fabrication.

Eddie is a licensed architect in the state of Oregon and holds an NCARB certificate. He has extensive professional architectural experience across a wide range of project types in the United States and abroad. Most recently, while practicing in San Francisco, he worked on neighborhood development plans, high-rise affordable housing projects and the renovation of a 100-year-old hotel listed on the National Historic Register that was converted into housing for formerly homeless veterans.

In addition to practicing architecture, Eddie has experience in planning, construction and real estate development.
